WHY ZARRIAN BARRI?
Zarrian Barri = "in the old, new"
Zarrian Barri was the name given by our ancestors to the farmhouse where our mother´s family lived, in Orozko (Vizcaya) when it was restored, in the beggining of the 20th century.
At the end of the century, to keep the family history alive, we built a modern home in Ullibarri-Arrazua (Alava). This house was used as a community home, where older people could live together.
Between 1996 and 2021 it was used as a nursing home. We remodeled it to a rural guest home in 2022.
IDEAL FOR GROUPS
The house, just 15 minutes by car from Vitoria, is designed in two floors. The garden level is the guest home and main entrance, also used by the owners who live on the next level up (first floor).
Due to its complete accessibility on the main floor, this guest house is ideal for family gatherings (from babies to the elderly) and friends.
We also offer it for personal development retreats (yoga or any other activity), workshops, etc.
At the moment, there are 4 bedrooms available, 3 doubles and 1 single with capacity for 14 guests.

BEDROOMS
We have 4 bedrooms, 3 double and 1 single, (with large bed that fits two people). Each bedroom has its own private bathroom. Please click on the photos to see larger images of the rooms. The bedrooms are each named after local mountains. Capacity for 7 persons + 6-7 additional beds.
Aratz is a mountain of 1443 meters of altitude belonging to the Basque Mountains. Located between Guipuzkoa and Álava, it is the highest peak of the Sierra de Altzania that is located to the east of the Aitzgorri massif.
Aitzgorri or Aizkorri, is a mountain of 1528 meters of altitude belonging to the Sierra de Aitzgorri. Although it is not the highest peak, it is the most popular and the entire massif bears his name: Aizkorri. Fame comes from the hermitage located in its rocky watchtower.
Anboto is a mountain between Bizkaia and Álava, 1331 meters high. It is one of the best-known mountains for its importance in traditional culture. In it, mythology sets the main abode of the goddess Mari, known as the Lady of Anboto.
Gorbea is the highest peak of the Gorbea Natural Park located between Bizkaia and Alava. Reaching an elevation of 1482 meters, it is possibly the most popular and most frequented peak in Euskadi.

With a 2.000 m2 (1/2 acre) fully fenced private garden, please enjoy the beautiful variety of trees and flowers. A barbecue is also available for your use.
